What can I expect?
A safe, non-judgemental, healing and confidential space in which you have the support to explore whatever is challenging you. You have an opportunity to gain a new perspective.
Who is counselling suitable for?
Counselling is suitable for any adult willing and open to exploring their personal difficulties. Counselling is not just for the intellectual and articulate; indeed, over-use of the intellect can block feelings and the recognition of emotions.
How will I benefit?
Counselling can help you to understand yourself better; it can untangle painful knotted areas which block the way to living a happy and more meaningful life.
Why can’t I talk to a friend about my difficulties?
Talking to a sympathetic friend can be helpful, but it is not the same as talking to a professional counsellor who, through their expertise and experience, can help you to facilitate change.
How much does it cost?
I charge £45 per session.
How long is a session?
Sessions are for one hour and usually take place once a week. Work can be short or long term and can also be reviewed at any time. For some people a short series of sessions are sufficient for their needs, although for other people a longer term commitment is more beneficial.
