Counsellors vary in their philosophy, modes of working and schools of thought. I work as a Psychosynthesis Therapeutic Counsellor.
What is Psychosynthesis Therapeutic Counselling?
The Psychosynthesis approach to therapeutic counselling is a holistic way of working which takes account of our mind, body and feelings. It has often been described as ‘psychology with a soul’ and values the soul as the source of our psychological health.
It is part of our human experience to meet challenge in our lives, and whether it is anxiety and stress, bereavement, mid-life crisis or relationship and other difficulties that arise for you, Psychosynthesis Therapeutic Counselling offers a space where you are accepted for who you are, deeply listened to, and invited to step into who you could be. Any difficulties are seen as offering potential for growth.
Through Psychosynthesis Therapeutic Counselling sessions you are supported to discover your own inner wisdom. We use many powerful techniques to facilitate this process: guided visualisation, role-playing and dream work, imagery, meditation, drawing, dialogue and reflective conversation.
A very important aspect of our work is the relationship that builds between us as client and counsellor; therefore it is important that you find someone you are comfortable working with. I offer a safe and confidential space in which you have the support to explore whatever is challenging you. I listen without judgement.
